Terms of Service

The short version. You pay $149 and we build you a one-page website from the information you give us, with one round of changes included. You own what you send us and you own the finished site. You are responsible for the facts on it being true.
We do not promise the website will win you customers, and nobody honest would.
Who these terms are between
They are between you and Northstar Digital of Payson, Arizona. Buying Northstar Express means agreeing to them.
What you are buying
Northstar Express is a one-page website for a small business. For $149 you get:
- A one-page website built from the information and images you supply.
- Your branding, your photographs and your own words.
- A layout checked at phone, tablet and desktop widths.
- An enquiry form that delivers to your inbox, tested with a real message.
- Page title, description and share-preview details set up.
- One round of changes, sent to us together.
- A check by a person before it reaches you.
- Written instructions for pointing your web address at the site.
$149 is a pilot price for the first ten customers. It is not our standard price for custom work and we are not representing it as one.
What is not included
Online shops, product catalogues, carts and customer accounts. Booking or scheduling systems. Sites of more than one page. Dashboards, logins, apps or any custom software. Connecting your site to other systems. Photography. More than one round of changes.
If you want one of these, say so and we will quote it separately or tell you we are not the right people. We will not quietly leave it out and we will not quietly squeeze it in.
What you are responsible for
The facts being true
We build the site from what you tell us. We do not invent business facts — not a year, a licence, a certification, a review, an award or a service — and if we do not know something we will ask you rather than guess.
Before the site goes live you will be asked to confirm that every fact on it is correct. After you confirm, the accuracy of those facts is yours. This matters most for anything a customer could rely on: licence numbers, insurance, qualifications, prices, and what you promise to do.
Having the right to the images
Only send photographs and logos you own or are allowed to use. If you send us something belonging to somebody else, we have no way to know, and the consequences are yours.
Your web address
You buy your own domain and it stays registered in your name. We do not register domains, we do not hold them, and we never take ownership of yours. We give you the steps for connecting it.
Getting back to us
We need your answers to build anything. If we do not hear from you for fourteen days after sending your preview, we will finish the site as it stands and close the order. Your round of changes stays available for thirty days after that.
What we do not promise
We do not promise that your website will bring you enquiries, customers, sales or a particular position in search results. Those depend on your market, your competitors, your reviews, your prices and a great deal outside anyone's control.
We set up the ordinary technical basics properly. That is a real thing and we stand behind it. It is not the same as a marketing outcome, and we will not blur the two to make a sale.
Who owns what
- Yours, and always was: your logo, your photographs, your business information and the words you gave us.
- Yours when the site is delivered: the finished website — its text, its images and its layout, for your own use.
- Ours, and stays ours: the build system underneath, its templates and its checks. The same machinery builds every Express site, which is what makes $149 possible. You are buying a website, not the factory.
- We ask you, after your site is finished: we would like to show it as an example of our work. We ask once it is delivered and never at the point of purchase — it is not a condition of buying, and saying no costs you nothing and changes nothing about your order. If you say no, or say nothing at all, we do not use it.
Timing
We usually send a preview within a few days of receiving your completed intake form. That is what normally happens, not a guaranteed deadline, and the clock does not start until your answers arrive.
Refunds and cancellation

Services we rely on
We use Stripe for payments, Tally for the intake form, Netlify for hosting and Web3Forms for enquiry form delivery. Each has its own terms and its own privacy policy.
If one of them has an outage, your site or your form may be affected, and we will help you sort it out. We cannot be responsible for another company's service failing.
If something goes wrong
If we have not delivered what is described on this page, tell us and we will put it right or refund you.
Beyond that, our total liability for anything connected with your order is limited to what you paid us. We are not liable for lost business, lost profit or lost opportunity. For a $149 website this is the ordinary position, and we would rather state it plainly than bury it.
Nothing here removes a right you have under law that cannot be removed by agreement.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Arizona.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you paid, and we keep a record of it.
